Update on the future of Best Kept Secret

We would like to thank you all for your kind words and messages over the last few weeks.

Losing Robin so suddenly and unexpectedly has hit us very hard indeed.

Rachael, James & Robert all firmly believe that Robin would not have wanted us to stop playing, and with the kind encouragement of Robin’s family, we have decided to carry on as Best Kept Secret.

We have started to rehearse as a three-piece line-up, but may also be adding special guest musicians at some of our gigs this year.

We are also very fortunate to have the continued use of Robin’s loop pedal which contains a wealth of pre-set loops that Robin recorded over the years, so we know Robin will continue to be part of every performance we do.

Best Kept Secret – Tragic Loss of Robin Clarke

It is with heavy hearts that we share the following news…

Our friend and bandmate Robin Clarke passed away suddenly and unexpectedly last weekend – we are still in shock and there aren’t any words to describe our sadness or the gap he will leave in our band and friendship.

A talented musician, wonderful friend and one of the nicest, caring and most genuine men you could ever meet. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family…

We are going to take some time out to let this sink in, and plan to meet up and talk about what this means for Best Kept Secret. We’ll post more in due course.
RIP Robin – you were one in a million 🙏
